Attention Animal Lovers of all ages: The Carroll County Animal Protection League will be having a meeting on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008, at 6:30 pm. The meeting will take place at the Carrollton Friendship Center at the Carroll County Fairgrounds on Rt. 9. New members welcome and bring a friend!
Note: If Carrollton schools are closed due to weather, the Friendship Center will also be closed, therefore we will resume our meetings the following month. See "Meeting Dates for 2008."
Saturday, June 7th, 2008. We will be have a booth at the Carroll County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the Rib's Burn-off event sponsored by the Carrollton Pilots Association. We will have numerous dog and cat items to sell, including John Deere leashes, collars, ID tags, and bandannas. We will also have a 50/50 raffle ticket sales. They are $1.00 each or six tickets for $5.00. The winner will receive half of the ticket sales. (You need not be present to win.) There will also be a raffle for a gift basket of assorted goodies for a dog and one for a cat. We will also have some "free stuff" to give away. This is a great event! Not only can you purchase some delicious ribs, there will be lemonade, ice-cream, and many more things at this huge event. Bring the family and share the day! Stop by our booth and learn who we are and what we are all about! Hope to see you there!

June - Another "Ponderosa Night" - This is being scheduled for a Tuesday night at the Carrollton, Ohio Ponderosa Restaurant on Canton Road. This is the "All-you-can-eat" night of shrimp, steak, and fish. We will have a 50/50 raffle ticket sales. For each adult meal we get a $1.00. For each children's meal, we get $.50. (But if you use your discount card, we do not get anything!) Check back for more details and the scheduled date when we will be there.
June or July- Membership drives at the Dollar General Market on Canton Road, Carrollton, Ohio and also at the Tractor Supply Store beside the Dollar General Market. Check back for more details and the scheduled dates when we will be there.
August 29, 30, & 31, 2008 - Hot Dog Stand fundraiser. We will be at the Thorne's Supermarket on Main Street in Carrollton, Ohio from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.?
September 2008 - Date not available yet. We will be at the Antique Tractor Club at the Carroll County Fairgrounds for all three days. This is a really big event and draws a lot of people from all over. More details as we get them so stop back please!
October 4th, 2008. A "Pet Blessings Day" will be held on October 4th, 2008 at the Methodist Church in Malvern, Ohio. This is in conjunction with Saint Francis of Assisi Day." More details to follow.
October 11 and 12, 2008. We will be holding a 2-day "BAZAAR" at Garner's Auction Barn - Canyon Road, Carrollton, Ohio. We will have an eat stand and lots of things to sell. Most of the items will be "donation only" (like we did last year), with some items priced. Check back for more details please!
